Practice Pitch
Sept. 8th, 2020

About

Our Practice Pitch Breakfast is not a competition. It is a time for entrepreneurs and investors to fellowship, learn from each other and build  relationships with one another no matter where we are located. We come in as strangers and leave as family.

Investor Pitch Feedback

Caring Band
  1. First of all, I thought it was a really well-done presentation
  2. On the revenue model, two questions. One, a little bit of forecasting. If you look at the end of your 500k raise, and you hit end of year one revenue, what do expect that to be on your model?
  3. Have you thought of alternative models? I assume that you have a one-time charge of $49? That’s all I could see in the pitch. Have you thought about doing a monthly cost to encourage people to sign up?
  4. Great job! This certainly hits home! I can see that you are a serial entrepreneur because you put together a great pitch! It certainly hits home for me watching my brother battle through cancer for a number of years. It’s just a brilliant idea! Bravo on that front!
  5. One brainstorm as I am listening. There is maybe a really cool way to monetize without really compromising your mission. For example, someone buys for $50 and they get the standard version, every single person involved in that person’s life wants to give them a gift, wants to help them and doesn’t feel like they can. Is there a way that 50 people get access to it and then they’re all offered to upgrade to a premium service?
  6. It is pretty compelling from a business perspective to switch from one-time sales to recurring revenue.
  7. Perhaps a couple testimonials embedded into the pitch where we hear from the one wearing the bracelet.
  8. Perhaps also, having seen the app, there is some really good prayer verses that are wrapped up into the app. So that is kind of the first thing people see. The important of prayer. It’s not the bracelet that does it, it really is the power of prayer and making sure that is emphasized.
  9. Great idea! Great early execution. Great pitch. Very clean, simply and strong. Congratulations.
  10. This seems to me being both a product and a mission/cause-related, to be an ideal opportunity to “fund and market” through Kickstarter, or other crowdfunding platforms. What is your thought about that? It is a simple story, it’s very emotional, everybody could apply it to people they know, and it connects deeply. What are your thoughts on crowdfunding as an opportunity?
  11. What are the channels that you go through to the end market users? How do you appeal to them? How do you target your end market? I’m a little curious as to what marketing channels you will use to find these people who want to reach out and help somebody else.
Oaxis Entertainment
  1. I loved the pop of the presentation. Frankly, I loved seeing your family. I think that is a core message.
  2. I had to divergent thoughts. It seems to me in the other deals that we have seen have really driven towards what is an increasing prodigious demand for content. It looks to me that you are not really content-focused. It’s a great background at Nickelodeon, but you’re not really doing the content, but the platform.
  3. Content has its own challenges. But the platform, you’ve got to address the competition. And your competition could really be affiliate marketing. Sony Entertainment has a whole new division that is really pushing family friendly films.
  4. It’s a daunting challenge. I’d like you to convince me why it’s obtainable.
  5. You need momentum. You also need a whale that will come in.
  6. Great video! You put together a good video.
  7. How do you interact with Minnow and PureFlix, the other players in this space? Just comparing and contrasting, are you working with them or are you competing against them? Just try to give a picture of that.
  8. I am feeling confused right now whether you are producing your own content or not? Because it sounded like in the video that you are bringing other people’s content on, but then you were talking just now about wanting to produce 100 hours of content. Can you help me clarify on both those points?
  9. Excellent presentation.
  10. Is this specifically for the Christian demographic? Or is it a broader network that incorporated Biblical values, but in forms that really resonate with a broader audience? And that is the path that you are taking and I think that is excellent.
  11. If you come across a story that is inspiring, the spirit can use that in different ways. Entertainment is one of those mountains that we have got to address.
  12. Good job in making it appeal to a broader audience and just an encouragement in the context of doing that, how do you sprinkle the seeds so that there is content that would bring people, or at least introduce them to Christ if the spirit is already working in their hearts and preparing them?
  13. I do suggest you have this content that is sprinkled in that is available so that would not just talk about good values, but talk about a personal walk with the Lord.
