About

Our Practice Pitch Breakfast is not a competition. It is a time for entrepreneurs and investors to fellowship, learn from each other and build  relationships with one another no matter where we are located. We come in as strangers and leave as family. Check out the video recordings below from our 1st complete virtual practice pitch breakfast where you can hear from our 2 pitch companies and special guest speakers.

Investor Pitch Feedback

LeadMeNot
  1. The pitch was a well thought through presentation and solution
  2. I suggest you expand and focus more on the use of artificial intelligence to add depth and technology usage in your solution which keeps you differentiated from competitors in the market.
  3. The pitch was concise and it expressed the market size and the need for the solution.
  4. Would your differentiating factors of being pro-active and holistic be strong enough against current industry competitors?
  5. You may need to include a segment in your pitch on pro-active solution “proof of concept” to demonstrate that your differentiating factors are effectively competitive.  Some statistics, if available, that help demonstrate how your product can add to the solutions already in the market may be a powerful addition to your pitch.
  6. Focus on the user experience and pushing you to a truly interactive platform using artificial intelligence to push the boundaries of when and how triggers can be used and applied.
  7. Tell your story of how your product or solution is bridging the gaps in the market.  Here’s how we are different and where our users can spend a greater share of their time in addressing the issues.
  8. Based on what you shared in your presentation, your differentiating story needs to be more compelling because it is unclear what your company can actually do, it is unclear how strong your differentiators are relative to competition.
  9. It would be great to have a clear spiritual component to the solution
  10. Would be good to have a version that doesn’t sound religious to reach non-believers who are struggling with this problem. A large section of target market are non-believers or believers who may have moved away from their faith.
  11. If working with outsourced teams, what kind of protection do you have to secure intellectual property protection, product delivery, version control?   Who is in your team who is overseeing this?
  12. You may consider potentially partnering with other companies in countries where you are outsourcing. There could be a spiritual mission component that could be developed here.
  13. May be good to research the churn rate of competitors for a planning perspective to help you understand the start up journey.
Relevant Entertainment
  1. Great pitch.  I think there is a lot to be said about the power of story and the power that it has on cultures.  I really appreciate what you are doing and the mission.
  2. I encourage you to focus more on the movie and the story vs the pitch that there should be a faith-based movie industry.
  3. Tell us about the economics.  $2M seems a bit low if this is to include production to distribution. What is the debt component?  What is the capital component?  Show a little bit more of the hidden side of the economics and financing.
  4. Presentation skills was really great.
  5. Tell us more about the financing: Post-production cost could tie or exceed the production cost.
  6. What are the aspects of making money.  How do I differentiate among the other film companies and faith based stories.
  7. “There’s no evangelism taking place in the film industry” – there is a great need for evangelism to take place in this industry.   You may want to be careful about making blanket statement so as not to alienate yourself from people in the industry that you may want to work with in the future.
  8. It seems that there was a dual pitch in your presentation: Evangelism mission in this industry vs making the movie itself.  Stick with making the movie itself and provide more content on this.
  9. As it relates to the movie itself, there are faith-based movies that kind of slaps you in the head with the story. Might be a better approach to make a movie to foster discussion vs to plaster a faith message.
  10. I think you are on target with your low budget if you can make that work.
  11. You can learn from the Kindered brothers as much as you can, they are really good with keeping their budgets low.
  12. Your story line seems a little improbable to me.  Have you done any focus group studies to make sure your story line resonates with your target audience (females 18-30)?
  13. For a successful film, the story line needs to capture a broader target audience.
As an investor, it is great to have the presentation of a good story, a theme song that ties to the downloadable song for a Christian experience and the tie to stars for the leading roles.
