DBU and COVID-19
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, DBU has taken careful and intentional measures to help foster the physical and emotional wellbeing of students, staff and faculty, as well as visitors to the campus. Specific to the Lion’s Den DFW, below are things DBU is doing and things we ask our visitors to do to continue to show love for one another.

Specific to the Lion’s Den DFW, below are things DBU is doing and things we ask our visitors to do to continue to show love for one another.
- We will have hand sanitizing stations in each of the buildings for the event.
- Masks must be worn while inside any building unless you are eating or drinking. Presenters, judges and pitch company presenters may remove their masks on the stage while presenting. Once they leave the stage they should put their masks back on.
- We will have sanitized wipes to clean microphones and clickers that will be used by more than one person.
- The Chapel Sanctuary will be sanitized the night before our event.
- The Chapel Sanctuary will have every other row blocked to encourage social distancing. We ask you to leave spaces between you and other visitors sitting next to you unless you are in the same family or work group and have a comfort level sitting closer to each other.
- In the Chapel Sanctuary, when you enter a row to sit down, please move towards the middle so other visitors do not need to squeeze past you to get to available seats.
- During the luncheon we will limit seating to no more than 6 people per table instead of the usual 8 per table. We will also reduce the number of tables in room in comparison to previous Lion’s Den DFW events. To meet these restrictions while also maximizing attendance, we will hold the luncheon in two different rooms (two different buildings). Seating in each room will be assigned based on order of registration. The first 150 who registered will be seated in the Great Hall of the Mahler Student Center. The second 150 people who registered for the luncheon will be seated in Sadler Hall in the lower level of the Chapel. The program from the Great Hall will be live streamed into Sadler Hall so everyone will benefit from the content of the luncheon while also being able to network with people around them.
- While networking inside a building, please socially distance and wear your mask.
